The National Weather Service have placed most of St. Lawrence County under a severe weather outlook for Friday as they predict lake effect snow in Potsdam, Canton, Gouverneur, Star Lake and Ogdensburg.

Massena is the "odd man out."

All of St. Lawrence County is forecast to have decreasing clouds Thursday night with temperatures around 0 degrees.

All of St. Lawrence County, except Massena, are looking at a lake effect snow warning Friday.

Odds of snow in all communities is 50 percent, with temperatures around 20 degrees.

The warning continues into Friday, except in Massena.

All areas are looking at up to 80 percent chances of snow, with temperatures plummteing to around -10 degrees.

Saturday is expected to be cold, with temperatures around -7 degrees giving way to a mostly cloudy night around -16 degrees.
