MORRISTOWN -- Morristown Central 11th grade students on Friday attended Republican presidential candidate John Kasich’s rally in Watertown.
Each student had to bring one question to Kasich, who is currently Ohio’s governor.
“The students had the chance to learn first hand how our democratic process affects the decisions on how voters choose their candidate. The students were able to think critically about the candidates policies, and connect those to how the North Country would be affected by the candidates programs,” Morristown Central U.S. History teacher Steven Morrow wrote.
“This was a very rare opportunity for the students of the North Country because this was the first time since president Theodore Roosevelt that a presidential candidate has visited our area.”
