OSWEGATCHIE – The Morristown school bus driver who crashed into the rear of another vehicle while traveling through dense fog on State Rt. 812 Tuesday morning has been charged with a traffic citation for following too close, state police report.
Eight people were taken to Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center complaining of pain following the accident, although no serious injuries were reported.
Michael Guyette, 72, Morristown, was driving the vehicle when, at 8:04 a.m., he reportedly failed to see a Buick Century driven by William Fraser, 67, of Oswegatchie, and hit the Fraser vehicle in the rear.
Fraser, six students and a school bus monitor were all taken to the hospital.
Guyette's ticket is returnable in Oswegatchie Town Court on Dec. 7.
