MORRISTOWN -- Morristown officials say village residents should run their water to prevent water lines from freezing, despite recent warmer weather.
"We are requesting that you leave your water running until early April due to the depth of the frost which is averaging at least six feet deep. Please do not shut your water off even when the air temperatures rise above the freezing point, the frost is still deep in the ground and will freeze your water line," Fire Chief Kevin Crosy said.
Crosby said the village will notify people when it is safe to stop running water.
