Morristown man arrested on rape, criminal sex act, burglary, unlawful imprisonment charges, troopers say

MORRISTOWN — A Morristown man was arrested on rape and burglary charges Saturday afternoon following a reported domestic dispute early that morning, according to state police.

Jeremy M. Carpenter, 33, was charged with first-degree rape: forcible compulsion, felony, first-degree criminal sex act, felony, second-degree burglary, felony, fourth-degree criminal mischief: prevent emergency call and second-degree unlawful imprisonment, troopers said.

He was arrested at 12:05 p.m. and his status was listed as held.
