HEUVELTON -- More than 60 pets were vaccinated for rabies through a free clinic hosted Thursday in Heuvelton.
The clinic, which was the first of six being hosted in St. Lawrence and Jefferson counties, was made possible through a grant secured by Sen. Patricia Ritchie. So far this year, St. Lawrence County has had 23 confirmed cases of rabies.
The no-cost clinics are being hosted in conjunction with St. Lawrence County Public Health and Jefferson County Public Health. For a full list of clinics, please visit www.ritchie.nysenate.gov.
