As Ice Storm 2013 continues into its second day, more than 4,300 National Grid customers were without power this morning.
Areas without electricity at 8:30 a.m. included Russell with 600 customers, Edwards with 515, Colton with 389, DeKalb with 395, , Hammond with 275, Hermon with 389, Macomb with 344, Parishville with 294, Pierrepont with 128, Pitcairn with 401, Gouverneur with 82, Rossie with 211, and Richville with 11.
In most areas, National Grid is predicting power will be restored shortly after noon.
National Grid says it has marshaled the largest contingent of electric line workers, tree trimmers, damage assessors and other support personnel since the 1998 ice storm as ice continues to cover the North Country. To read more, view earlier story.
