More than 500 National Grid customers are still without power likely caused by high winds across St. Lawrence County which caused one school to cancel and one to delay.
According to the school's website. Morristown Central School is closed.
Earlier this morning, more than 3,000 National Grid customers were reportedly affected by power outages.
Nearly 1,300 customers in Morristown were without power this morning, National Grid officials said. About 500 are still without power, with power expected to be restored by noon.
Hammond Central School was delayed an hour and half today, according to WWNY-tv. Nearly 50 customers remain affected in the Hammond area.
Other towns affected include Fine, Macomb and Oswegatchie. Power is expected to be restored around 1 p.m. in all areas of St. Lawrence County, National Grid says.
