OGDENSBURG – More than 100 participants raised more than $1,600 in the inaugural Mosaic Human Foosball Tournament this weekend.

The championship game came down to penalty kicks with a team of all women from the Ansen Corporation taking home the top prize.

That team, Kung Foos donated $100 of their winnings back to the Society of the United Helpers. Second place went to the Killer Kickers with Foos Your Daddy? bringing home the third place prize. Foos Your Daddy also donated their winnings back to the Society.

“We had ten teams competing for more than $500 in cash prizes,” said Mosaic Administrator Michele M. Montroy. “It was a day full of action and fun with the money we raised going to the Society of the United Helpers.”

Included in the proceeds was a donation from the Ogdenbsurg Kiwanis Club, which donated the proceeds from its concession stand back to the Society in memory of Gary Skelly and Keith Robinson.

“The Ogdenbsurg Kiwanis Club graciously gave us use of their field at Montroy Park and even donated the proceeds from their concession stand back to United Helpers,” Ms. Montroy said. “Thank you to Larry Mitchell and the Kiwanis Club for this generous donation.”

Ms. Montroy said given the success of this event, talks are already underway for next year.
