Republican Gary Pasqua has beat Democrat James Monroe in the district attorney election with all 81 precincts reporting.
Pasqua won with 11,435 votes to Monroe's 9,012.
Pasqua is the Franklin County chief district attorney and has nine years of experience as a prosecutor.
Monroe is a former Canton town justice.
The two were running for the county’s top prosecutor following the controversial tenure of Mary Rain.
She won the office in 2013 over then-DA Nicole Duvé and is not seeking a second term.
The results are unofficial and do not include absentee ballots.
