Although temperatures nearly reached 90 degrees Monday, it was not hot enough to top the record high for June 12 in St. Lawrence County.
Yesterday’s high of 88 was not quite warm enough to top the record of 89, which was recorded in 2005, according to Weather Underground.
The temperatures were recorded at the official National Weather Station at Massena's Richards Field.
The coldest June 12 on record in St. Lawrence County took place in 1980. The low that day was a brisk 38 degrees.
The warm weather is expected to continue today with highs in the upper 70s to lowers 80s, according to the National Weather Service.
