MASSENA -- A fire that destroyed a Massena barn Monday night is still under investigation.
Massena Volunteer Fire Department responded to 46 Cook St. at 9:45 p.m. and returned at 11:34 p.m.
The property is owned by John Mitchell and is insured.
St. Lawrence County Fire Investigator Andy Barr said he was returning to the scene to search for clues that could help determine the cause.
He said the structure, 40 x 30 feet, housed tools, a lawn tractor and other items, but was not occupied by people or pets.
Louisville Volunteer Firefighters were on standby.
