AKWESASNE -- Another action packed night at Mohawk International Raceway was set to go, with Brass Horse Pizzeria and Lounge on hand for some great racing.

Billy Dunn has been the man to beat this year in the 358 Modifieds. Coming into the night with the points lead and a three race winning streak, he started the night deep in the pack.

Zach Aubertine jumped out to the early race lead as Carey Terrance, Jeff Sykes, Jordan McCreadie and Chris Raabe followed in the top five.

Aubertine and Terrance were the class of the field as they battled for the top spot throughout the entire 25 lap distance.

At the halfway point Aubertine had his hands full as Terrance, Raabe, Billy Dunn and Jeff Sykes battled it out in the top five.

Terrance drew alongside Aubertine several times in turn four, only to lose the lead again in turn one.

With five laps remaining lapped traffic became an issue, and Aubertine was caught behind two cars. He was able to clear all traffic and pull out to a four car length lead. On the final lap Terrance made a bid for the lead in turn four, but Aubertine held strong for his first win of the season over Terrance. Billy Dunn, Chris Raabe, and Danny Johnson came from deep in the field to round out the top five.

The Sportsman division was set to roll out as 30 cars took to the speedway and a pair of non-winners led the field to the green.

Brad Winters and Mike Maresca battled side by side for the opening six laps until Winters took control down the back stretch as Maresca, Dylan Evoy, Billy Cook, and Mike Arquiett rounded out the top five.

The yellow flew for the first time on lap seven for Jenna David, who slowed her machine in turn four.

On the restart Winters chose the outside lane and used it to grab the lead away as Mike Maresca gave chase from position number two, Mike Arquiett, Dylan Evoy, and Corey Wheeler completed the top five. Winters was on cruise control, working the top side of the speedway, but Mike Arquiett was also on the move. Arquiett would move into the top three with seven laps remaining until the final yellow flew for Wyatt Mullin, who slowed in turn three.

On the final restart Winters would jump out to a comfortable lead and, despite the challenges from Arquiett in the closing laps, nobody stopped Winters from scoring his first ever sportsman win.

Mike Arquiett, Mike Maresca, Louie Jackson Jr., and Corey Wheeler rounded out the top five.

In Pro Stock action Marc Lalonde and Dan Desnoyers led the field to the green flag as the field headed off into turn one.

Allen Peters started in the third spot and made his way to the lead down the backstretch as Lalonde, Desnoyers, Roch Aubin, and Jocelyn Roy completed the top five.

The first yellow flew on lap three for Dion Oakes, who spun in turn two. On the restart Peters continued to lead, with PJ Peters and Stephane Lebrun behind him.

Both drivers worked their way into the top five by lap seven and were in pursuit of the leader. On lap eight Roch Aubin and PJ Peters both tangled in turn four, bringing out the yellow flag for the second time.

In the closing laps Allen Peters tried to hold off late race challenges from both Stephane Lebrun, PJ Peters and Roch Aubin.

The top four swapped positions several times in the closing laps, but in the end Allen Peters won the war, scoring his first win in over a year in the Pro Stock.

Lebrun, Aubin, Mike White, and Jocelyn Roy rounded out the top five.

The TUSA Mod Lite Series was on hand for the second time this season.

Scott Waldrif and Jim Bogett led the field of 22 drivers to the green flag and Waldrif was able to grab the advantage into turn one.

The yellow flew quickly on lap one as a five car pileup occurred toward the back of the field. All drivers were alright and able to continue.

Paul Klager, Dan Ferguson, Mathieu Robinson, and Jeff May raced side by side for the entire event.

Klager looked to have the advantage, but Robison charged on the outside with five laps to go, grabbing the top spot away.

Robinson looked to be the fastest car, but on the final lap entering turn three Robinson went to the high side as Ferguson ducked low. The two drivers raced side by side to the flagstand as

Dan Ferguson edged Robinson at the line for a photo finish and his second win of the season at Mohawk.

Robinson, Jeff May, Paul Klager, and Joel Hargrave rounded out the top five.

In the Bandit division Edward Lemieux and Randy Whiting led the field for the start of the 10 lap race, and Whiting wasted no time jumping into the lead.

Whiting has struggled all season, and after debuting a brand new race car led the field, pulling out to a straightaway lead.

The yellow flew early on for Edward Lemieux and Francis Blanchette as they both hit the outside wall.

When the green flew Whiting continued his great drive, but the undefeated Jean Marc Larose was on the charge.

After starting eighth he made his way to Whiting's back bumper.

On the final lap, heading into turn three, Larose tried the inside groove and made contact with Whiting's machine.

Randy Whiting came away with his first win of the year. Larose came home second.

Darryl Mitchell, Scott Banker, and Francis Blanchette rounded out the top five.
