CANTON -- A SUNY Canton student reported missing on Monday has been located, according to college officials.
Briana M. Randolph, 21, contacted the school shortly after the alert went out.
“She reached out to university police after she saw the missing persons report on Facebook,” SUNY Canton spokesman Greg Kie said. “She called the college and began responding to Facebook posts.”
Kie said he is grateful to the more than 600 people who shared the missing persons alert from their Facebook page.
“Thank you all for reaching out to assist with our missing student situation at SUNY Canton,” Kie said via email. “We are specifically thanking the greater SUNY Canton community's prompt response. Many individuals, agencies and our neighboring colleges shared the missing persons post on social media. We believe this is what led her to make contact with the college.”
