POTSDAM – Sixteen-year-old Kaitlyn Thomas delivered 30 blankets to Health Services of Northern New York for their home care patients.
Kaitlyn and others worked together to provide blankets to people that need them through the Mighty Pines 4H club (Pierrepont area) leadership program “Binky Patrol.”
The club has been running “Binky Patrol” for eight years and they have donated to organizations such as Renewal House, Canton-Potsdam Hospital, Canton Rescue, and some of the local fire departments.
The blankets are made and donated by a variety of sources including some very dedicated community members.
“The blankets will go to our pediatric patients and other patients that are in need of some extra comforting,” says Sheri Chapman, Director of Clinical Services at HSNNY. “It is thoughtful programs like Binky Patrol that help us bring cheer to our patients.”
HSNNY is the only home health care agency in St. Lawrence County that provides a full range of home health services, including short term/acute care and long-term assistance.
