GOUVERNEUR – Three men, from Gouverneur, Edwards and Richville were charged with possession of crack cocaine after a traffic stop in the town of Gouverneur.
State Police arrested Jason S. Woolman, 35, of 145 Rock Island Street, Gouverneur, Peter R. Turtschanow Jr., 22, of 12 Gaddis Rd, Edwards, and Isaac F. Lancto, 21, of 427 Cole Road, Richville, and charged them with criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th degree.
Troopers said they stopped the trio on Little Bow Road in the town of Gouverneur Friday at 11:16 p.m., allegedly for failing to stop at a stop sign.
Troopers said they found crack cocaine and pipes containing cocaine residue during the traffic stop.
All three were processed at SP Gouverneur. Lancto and Turtschanow were released on appearance tickets returnable to the town of Gouverneur Court Oct. 20.
Woolman, the driver of the vehicle, was arraigned in town of Gouverneur Court on the drug charge, and for aggravated unlicensed operation 2nd degree, and failure to stop for a stop sign. He was released under the supervision of probation authorities with a return court date of Oct. 20.
