MASSENA -- The Saint Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation (SLSDC) is asking for help in finding friends and family of those who lost their lives during the construction of the Seaway from 1954 to 1959.
Those with any information are asked to contact Kyle Savage at the SLSDC, (202) 366-0898 or Kyle.Savage@dot.gov.
The SLSDC will hold a memorial ceremony to pay tribute to those workers at 2 p.m. Friday, June 3 at the Eisenhower Lock Visitors' Center, 190 Barnhart Rd.
A memorial plaque that will be a permanent addition to the Visitors’ Center will be dedicated.
The event will be open to the public.
