NORWOOD – The mayor of Norwood is asking village residents to conserve water.
Mayor Tim Levison says the water plant’s pumps “have been running 23 hours a day,” and he’s asking for the cooperation of people on the water system to reduce their water usage.
Levison said there is a forecast of rain today, but he is not expecting that to solve the problem.
“It’s not normal, but it’s a dry period,” he said.
He said he is preparing a flyer to be sent to 600 households and businesses in the village with tips for the voluntary conservation of water, such as not letting the water run while brushing teeth of shaving, taking short showers instead of baths and washing a vehicle from a bucket and not a running hose.
