MASSENA -- The Village Department of Public Works will tear up and repave West Orvis Street, which village officials say is in dire need of work.
“Superintendent (Hassan) Fayad is adjusting some streets that were going to be done this year and do [West Orvis], which needs it very badly,” Mayor Tim Currier said.
Fayad said it will take about a month for the project to start.
They are awaiting contractors to aid with the West Hatfield Street paving, which he expects next week, and they will redo West Orvis three weeks after that.
He said the West Orvis project will involve grinding three inches of the roadway and rebuilding it.
