MASSENA -- A 9-year-old Massena boy shot his first ‘Robin Hood’ recently at the Norfolk Archery Club’s indoor junior league.
A ‘Robin Hood’ is achieved when an archer splits his or her own arrow in two.
Holden Hewlett is a fourth grader at Jefferson Elementary School, Massena.
This is his second year participating in the league, and his instructors say he has learned the basics and become a proficient archer.
“His scores and this shot proves he has been an attentive student and the smile says it all,” said league director Fred Cockayne.
