OGDENSBURG – A Massena woman who called state police to say she was being kidnapped and forced to drive two men to Syracuse was herself arrested along with the two men once troopers caught up with them at a McDonald’s in Ogdensburg.

At about 5 a.m. yesterday, troopers got a call from 34-year-old Jessica S. Stowell of Massena, who told them she was driving her 2005 Kia Sorrento westbound on State Route 37 in the City of Ogdensburg. She said she was being forced to drive two men passengers from Massena to Syracuse.

Troopers located and stopped Stowell's vehicle in McDonald's parking lot in Ogdensburg. Stowell's passengers were identified as 23-year-old Jonathan L. Solomon and 24-year-old Akeem T. Johnson, both of Rochester.

During a search of the vehicle by troopers and Odgensburg City Police Department K9, a small amount of heroin was located in the glove box.

Investigation also found Stowell had willingly picked up Solomon and Johnson in Massena and had agreed to bring them to Rochester, troopers said.

Stowell was arrested for 7th-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and released on an appearance ticket returnable in Ogdensburg City Court on Aug. 20 at 9 a.m.

Soloman, who initially provided troopers with false identification, was arrested for 7th-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and false personation. Soloman was arraigned in Town of Oswegatchie Court and remanded to St. Lawrence County Jail in lieu of $3,000 cash bail or $6,000 bond. He is to be in Ogdensburg City Court on Aug. 18, at 9 a.m.

Johnson was arrested for 7th-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. He was arraigned in Town of Oswegatchie Court and remanded to St. Lawrence County Jail in lieu of $500 cash bail or $1,000 bond. Johnson is to reappear in Ogdensburg City Court on Aug. 18 at 9 a.m.
