MASSENA -- Lacey Leigh Yekel, 25, was laid to rest Friday afternoon while the questions around her death remain unanswered.
Her body was discovered Aug. 29 in the woods near the Massena Industrial Park.
The remains were not identified as those of the young Massena woman until two months later, in mid-October.
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Phillips Memorial Home.
The young woman’s body was identified through DNA and dental records.
The manner of her death has not yet been made public. State police said tests results pending.
