MASSENA -- A Massena woman who was jailed earlier this week for a burglary in Brasher is now accused of two more burglaries.
Nazera L. Douglas, 29, was charged with three new counts of second-degree burglary, felony.
She is jailed on $5,000 for three counts burglary stemming from complaints first reported to state police June 29 and July 1 and July 17, according to state police.
On July 17, state police received a report of a burglary on state Route 37C in Brasher. Police say Douglas forced entry through a window to the residence and stole a TracPhone cell phone valued at $100 and a 20-inch flat screen television also valued at $100.
Troopers say Douglas was arrested for this burglary on July 18 at 12:32 a.m. at the police station, 29 Stearns St., Massena. She was arraigned in Massena Town Court where she was remanded to St. Lawrence County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail.
Following investigations of separate burglaries, on July 20 Douglas was charged with two more counts of second-degree burglary, officers said.
One charge stems from a burglary reported on June 29 at a residence on county Route 39 in Louisville. Police say Douglas unlawfully entered the residence and stole a Vizio 39-inch television valued at $245 and a Kindle Fire valued at $50.
On July 1, a burglary was reported at a residence on state Highway 37 in Louisville. A suspect unlawfully forced entry through a rear door to the residence. She allegedly stole a 32-inch Vizio flat screen television valued at $260, a 40-inch Sony flat screen television valued at $450, a semiautomatic .22 Mossberg rifle valued at $250 and a FunLux Home security base valued at $260, troopers said.
Douglas remains in custody at St. Lawrence County Jail.
