MASSENA — A Massena woman was arrested Tuesday in connection with a forgery complaint first reported to state police Nov. 8.
Mary P. Ashley, 28, allegedly stole and forged checks from a 60-year-old victim, troopers said.
She was charged with seven counts of second-degree possession of a forged instrument, felonies, at 2:43 p.m. at the police station, 29 Stearns St. in Massena.
She was released to a third party, troopers said.
Police charged Bobbi Jo Larock, 37, Massena with second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument stemming from the same incident. For more about her arrest see story.
