MASSENA -- Numbers from the village treasurer show fourth quarter and 2015-16 fiscal year sales tax revenues are down, but above what the village budgeted.
Treasurer Julie Sharlow told the Board of Trustees on Tuesday that they garnered $435,921.02 in fourth quarter sales tax. That’s a 2.7 percent decrease, down $12,115.44 from the same quarter last year.
For the year, collections totaled $1,718,388.29. That’s down 3.73 percent, or $66,670.47 from 2014-2015, according to Sharlow.
The year’s total came in $23,938 over their $1,694,450 budgeted amount, according to the treasurer’s report.
