MASSENA -- Massena police are seeking information regarding an assault on robbery that occurred Monday between 11 and 11:30 p.m. on Bowers Street.

Police say the men allegedly drove past victim as he walked down Bowers Street toward Grove Street. The pair allegedly parked the vehicle and walked towards the victim on the other side of the street.

After crossing the street police say they asked victim for a cigarette. As the victim reached into his pocket for his cigarettes the suspects then allegedly assaulted him and stole various personal items from him.

The suspects are described as two white males in their early twenties one with a fair complexion, thin build and short blonde hair. The other has a thin build, dark short hair with a slightly darker complexion.
