MASSENA -- The village will hold a public hearing to give an update on the 2016 Community Development Block Grant for first-time homebuyers.
The hearing will be May 15 at 5:30 p.m. in the Town Hall’s room 30.
Through the program, the village received $400,000 to assist income-eligible buyers with closing costs, legal expenses and minor rehabilitations, associated with the acquisition of the property, within the village, according to Mayor Tim Currier.
“Thanks to the competent administration of this grant by the Development Authority for the North Country, our housing office has assisted a number of people in becoming first time homebuyers,” Currier said.
