MASSENA -- Following a request from residents, the village board is looking at installing a streetlight at the end of Barnhart Road.
Trustee Albert Deshaies said a quadplex at 400 Barnhart Road, where several people with disabilities live, is poorly lit. He said he thinks the light is necessary because their conditions make them “more susceptible to crime.”
Trustee Tim Ahlfeld said he and Deshaies would look at the area and decide if it’s something they want to do.
“It may not be until spring if they have to put a pole up, I don’t know,” Ahlfeld said.
The board took no official action.
