NICHOLVILLE -- Massena-based state police have recovered a tractor that was stolen in December, according to a release issued this afternoon.
Troopers say no charges will be filed against the person who purchased the orange Kabuta tractor.
Mikle N. Lavare, 26, was charged with third-degree grand larceny, felony, and providing a false written statement, troopers said.
Police said they investigated the theft of the tractor and interviewed Lavare who initially provided them with a false statement.
The buyer allegedly met Lavare in Ellenburg to purchase the tractor on Dec. 5, but was unaware that it was stolen.
