MASSENA -- The Massena Town Council on Wednesday will vote to choose an air provider at Massena International Airport.
The vote will be at a special meeting that day at 5:30 p.m. in the Town Hall’s second floor boardroom.
They will choose between their existing provider, Cape Air, and Boutique Air.
Cape Air offers flights to Albany and Boston three times per day.
“We are a stable airline that is celebrating 27 years of serving communities across the US,” Cape Air Vice President Trish Lorino said via a Nov. 29 email.
Boutique Air says they will offer two routes for non-stop service to Buffalo, Baltimore, Chicago, Boston or Albany and use “faster, quieter pressurized planes with reclining leather seats.”
The Town Council gave the public a chance to voice opinions on either company at a Nov. 30 meeting.
Boutique Air’s website is www.boutiqueair.com and phone number is 1-801-300-6321 or 1-855-268-8478.
Cape Air’s website is https://www.capeair.com/ and phone number is 1-800-227-3247.
Town Supervisor Joe Gray says there are no other agenda items planned for the Dec. 7 special meeting.
