MASSENA -- The town board voted to add a handicap door that was somehow left off the specifications for the town hall improvement project that took place over the summer.
When asked by a board member how it was left out of the original specs, Town Supervisor Joseph Gray said “We don’t know – it just happened.”
The work will cost $4,235.45.
The entranceway in question is at the back of the town hall building and goes directly into the police station and gives access to the town hall elevator.
The contractor for the project is Berkeley’s Safe and Locks, Canton.
