MASSENA -- Pending approval from federal authorities, the Town Council expects to host a car show at Massena International Airport on Aug. 28.
“The intent behind this is to expose more people to the airport, to see the facility,” Town Supervisor Joseph Gray said. “We’re awaiting TSA and FAA approval as far as addressing their security concerns.”
He said they will proceed as if they are going to get it and cancel if the two agencies don’t approve the event.
“We’re not spending any money at this point,” he said.
He added the town may ask Cape Air to donate airfare for a door prize.
