MASSENA -- Second-graders in Mrs. Berg's Madison Elementary School class received chokecherry tree seedlings as part of Alcoa's 10 Million Trees program and in celebration of Arbor Day.
Each April, Alcoa's Massena Operations distributes tree seedlings to its employees and to local elementary students as part of its 10 Million Trees program. Over 33,000 tree seedlings have been distributed locally since the program launched.
The goal of Alcoa's is to plant 10 million trees by Alcoa employees and their families in Alcoa communities by 2020.
