MASSENA -- The Massena Rescue Squad's Technical Rescue Team and the Massena Fire Department participated in a joint training exercise Monday at Wal-Mart.
The training focused on safely rescuing victims from high locations using the newest equipment and techniques, according to Massena rescuer Randall Montour.
He said Wal-Mart of Massena offered the use of there store's roof for the exercise.
Massena Fire Department's ladder truck along with Massena Rescue's Heavy Rescue truck were used in the exercise, Montour said.
Massena Rescue's A-216 stood by in support of the training.

rope rescue techniques as well as propelling from the three-story building.
