MASSENA -- Police have arrested two Massena men that they had considered armed and dangerous. They were wanted in connection with several recent burglaries and armed robberies in the area.

State troopers say they arrested Terry McGregor, 28, and Tyler McGregor, 23, both of Massena.

They were each charged with first-degree burglary. Terry McGregor, who was located in Binghamton, was also charged with false personation for allegedly giving police a fake name.

Tyler McGregor was arrested and charged in Massena, troopers said.

They were each arraigned in Brasher Town Court and sent to the county lockup, Terry McGregor in lieu of $10,000 bail and Tyler McGregor in lieu of $5,000.

One of the burglaries in which police say the McGregors were involved occurred Saturday in Brasher. The following day, investigators arrested Danelle LaPage, 36, of Winthrop and Tanner J. McGregor, 17, of Massena. They are each being held at the county lockup in lieu of $5,000 bail.

A 56-year-old male, who state police did not identify, reported they entered his home armed and stole about 180 oxycodone pills, a .22 caliber rifle and an undisclosed amount of cash, according to troopers. Massena Police Chief Adam Love said his officers are investigating two Oct. 25 armed robberies that took place in the village. However, the chief says they weren’t random acts and there is no cause for public alarm.

“At this point, we don’t want the public to be alarmed,” Chief Adam Love said. “Two houses were robbed for a reason. These weren’t random acts.”

He did not want to disclose why the robberies took place or where in town they happened.

“I don’t want to release any circumstances at this point because I don’t want to hinder our investigation,” he said, but added that the two incidents are related. “Our investigators are fully involved.”
