Hockey fans from Massena, Ogdensburg and Potsdam have each won a pair of tickets to a Clarkson University men’s hockey game from NorthCountryNow.com.
A total of 837 entries were received in the ticket giveway which ended Thursday.
The winners, selected at random, are Bill Henophy of Massena, Ruth Layng of Ogdensburg and Michael F. Perry of Potsdam.
They will be receiving tickets to the Feb. 11 game against Brown University in Clarkson’s Cheel Arena.
And while attending the game, they may also have a chance to win again.
Their tickets are part of a group of several hundred from which three people will be selected to try their hand at a “Make the Shot” competition. If they are one of those selected, they will have a chance to win a 2011 Jeep Wrangler from Blevin’s Motors. In order to win the Jeep, they will have to successfully shoot a puck into a limited-space goal during an on-ice contest between periods.
Their tickets will also be entered into a drawing for a Valentine-themed gift package with items from St. Lawrence Chocolates, Community Performance Series, Canton-Potsdam Hospital Gift Shop, ’Em Bears, Julian’s Restaurant, Northern Interiors, Walmart, The Copy Shop, and Willow Tree Florist.
Thanks to everyone who entered the ticket giveaway contest.
