MASSENA -- A Massena native appears in the film "The Place Beyond the Pines" released in theaters last month.
Dan Rayome, a Massena native, said he recently attended the premiere of the movie featuring Ryan Gosling, Eva Mendes, Bradley Cooper and Ray Liotta.
"The premiere was held in Schenectady, where the movie was filmed two summers ago," Rayome said. "The title of the movie is the English translation of the Mohawk name Schenectady."
Rayome said the film was set in 1994, which allowed him to dress in his Massena Central football jersey.
"The wardrobe called for sports jerseys, fanny packs and film loaded cameras," he said.
Rayome said he has appeared in two other feature films including Disney's "Invincible" staring Mark Wahlberg and Greg Kinnear; and Universal Pictures’ "The Express" with Dennis Quaid and Rob Brown.
