MASSENA – Sometimes people may have to spend time in the hospital during the holidays, so Massena Memorial Hospital employees decorate the hospital halls to bring a sense of the holidays to patients and visitors.
Each year members of the community judge the decorations with first, second and third place along with honorable mentions.
This year’s winner of the “Deck the Halls” Contest was the Medical Surgical Pediatric Unit with their heartwarming display of making the nurses’ station a gingerbread house.
Second place was Medical Coding Department with a display of Frosty the Snowman and friends; third place was Administration/Ancillary Services with the old fashioned Christmas. Other departments included: Medical Imaging, Maternity, Intensive Care Unit, Public Relations, Respiratory and Physician Therapies, Nutritional Services, Endoscopy, Transcription, Patient Family Services, Performance Improvement, Pharmacy and Community Outreach, Kids Korner Pediatric Center, Brasher Falls Family Health Center.
