MASSENA -- The Massena Memorial Hospital Auxiliary recently presented Massena Memorial Hospital with $9,186 to purchase a patient bed and vital signs monitor.

Each year the MMH auxiliary holds fundraisers to purchase equipment for the hospital.

The auxiliary also offers opportunities to volunteer at the hospital at the information desk, gift shop and beverage cart.

Auxiliary members also set up Christmas decorations and make pillows and blankets for cancer patients.

The auxiliary also gives teddy bears to all the pediatric patients and new borns. Over the last two years a total of 692 teddy bears, 279 pillows, 54 bags and 12 hats have been given to hospital patients.

The Massena Memorial Hospital Auxiliary raises money with special projects throughout the year to purchase equipment or enhance patient care at the hospital. Anyone interested in offering a few hours of volunteer time can join the hospital auxiliary. The auxiliary has projects continuously throughout the year and offers services within the hospital.
