MASSENA -- With the frigid temperatures that have plagued the North Country this winter, Mayor James Hidy says residents should let their faucets trickle to stop their pipes from bursting.
"Trickle your faucet … just a drop," he said.
The continued freezing and thawing of water standing inside pipes can cause them to fail, if they are exposed to below-freezing temperatures.
Temperatures are expected to remain below or near freezing for the foreseeable future.
