MASSENA – A Massena man is hoping to be named a “2010 Sexiest Vegetarian Over 50” contest and win a trip to Guatemala.
Ty Danboise is one of ten male and ten female finalists in the contest, sponsored by PETAPrime.org, a new Web site from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, also known as PETA.
Danboise is now in the second of three rounds. The winners will receive a five-night “experience” at Laguna Lodge, a 100 percent vegetarian luxurious natural eco-resort in Guatemala.
Those wishing to vote in the contest or view the contestants can visit features.peta.org/petaprime/SexiestVegOver50/.
“It will only take you a minute to vote,” said his wife, Mary, in an e-mail. She recently lost her job as director of the Robert Moses State Park Nature Center due to layoffs ordered at the state level.
“Please pass this on to everyone you know and ask them to vote too. This might help being laid off not be quite so bad!”
One female and one male winner will be announced on Dec. 10.
