MASSENA -- A Massena man is jailed on charges of burglarizing Softail’s Saloon early on Tuesday morning, according to Massena Police.
Jacob L. Farrell, 24, of 31 Malby Ave. is charged with one felony count each of third-degree burglary and fourth-degree grand larceny.
Farrell allegedly broke into the bar around 2:23 a.m. and stole a cash register drawer with about $1,200 in it, according to court documents.
An employee at Bowlmor Lanes, which is next door to Softails, gave a statement to police and said their door was smashed in, court documents state.
Farrell was arrested at 7:18 p.m. Thursday on Malby Avenue, police said.
He was arraigned by Massena Village Justice Eric Gustafson and remanded to the St. Lawrence County jail, Canton in lieu of $2,000 bail or $4,000 bond, police said.
