POTSDAM -- A Massena man has been jailed for grand larceny after allegedly stealing electronics from Potsdam Walmart.
St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s detectives and deputies arrested William P. Rochefort, 21, of Massena yesterday after a lengthy investigation into thefts from the Potsdam Walmart Store.
It is alleged that Rochefort on two occasions in June of this year stole approximately $2,000 of electronic merchandise.
Rochefort was charged with one count of Petit Larceny and one count of fourth degree grand larceny, a felony. Rochefort was arraigned by Potsdam Town Justice Samuel Charleson and held in lieu of $500 cash or $1,000 bail bond to reappear at a later date.
