MASSENA -- Village police say a Massena man was jailed following his second arrest in just under 12 hours on Monday.
Daniel L. Williams, 27, of East Hatfield Street is being held at the county lockup in Canton in lieu of $1,000 bail or $2,000 bond, police said.
He was first charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest at 8:35 a.m. on East Hatfield Street and released with appearance tickets for village court on Aug. 9, police said.
Then at 8 p.m. at his residence, he allegedly violated a court order and was charged with first-degree criminal contempt, felony, and second-degree harassment.
Documents filed with Massena Village Court say he allegedly threatened his girlfriend by saying his family would come after her and also threatened to punch her. This allegedly violated a no-harassmant order of protection in place through July 14, 2018, the documents read.
The documents state that Williams has "a history of domestic violence" toward the alleged victim, and this was the third domestic disturbance between the two on Monday.
On the later counts, he was arraigned by Massena Justice Gerald Sharlow and remanded to jail, police said.
