MASSENA -- A Massena man is jailed on a felony assault charge after being accused of shooting someone in the face with a pellet gun.
Edward C. Brossoit, 24, of 52 Maple St. Apt. 2 is charged with a felony count of second-degree assault, a misdemeanor count of second-degree menacing and prohibited use of a firearm, a local law violation, police said.
Brossoit was charged after shooting a person in the face with a pellet gun after the alleged victim knocked on his door, according to Massena police Lt. Jason Olson.
He was charged at 9:43 a.m. Friday on Maple Street, arraigned in Massena court by Justice Eric Gustafson and remanded to the St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, in lieu of $2,500 bail or $5,000 bond, police said.
