LOUISVILLE – A Massena man was jailed after a lengthy investigation into a burglary of a residence in Louisville that occurred in late May, according to St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s deputies.
Leonard P. Deshane, 27, was charged with second-degree burglary, third-degree grand larceny, and third-degree criminal mischief, all felonies, deputies said.
Police say Deshane broke into the residence and stole money, jewelry, and other miscellaneous items.
Deshane was arraigned by Louisville Town Justice Virginia Gettman and remanded to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility, Canton, in lieu of $5,000 bail or $10,000 bond, deputies said.
The investigation is continuing and further charges are pending, according to police.
