MASSENA -- A Massena man is jailed after he allegedly violated two orders of protection in three hours, trashing his ex-girlfriend’s apartment and striking her on Friday.
Scott W. Clark, 26, of 245 Center St. was charged at 7:26 p.m. Friday with a felony first-degree criminal contempt count.
At 4:12 p.m. the same day, he was charged with first-degree criminal contempt, third-degree criminal mischief, a felony, as well as endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree harassment.
Clark was originally charged after a domestic incident. His ex-girlfriend, Kylie Curran, told police that he became irate because she was ending their relationship. He said while at their 1 Depot St. Apt. 1 residence, he punched her in the back while she held their 1-year-old daughter. He then knocked over dressers, smashed the glass in the front door, kicked a hole in a living room wall and dumped apple juice and NyQuil on the floor. She told police this caused at least $400 damage.
Court documents say the alleged incident violated a one-year no-harassment order of protection issued by St. Lawrence County Family Court Judge Cecily Morris on Nov. 3, 2014.
Clark’s second contempt count came after Massena Village Justice Eric Gustafson put a no contact order of protection in place, effective Friday evening through Sept. 30. Curran told police after learning of the order, Clark called her and loudly said “You’re dead meat” and hung up the phone.
Following the second alleged incident, he was arraigned by Massena Village Justice Eric Gustafson and remanded to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility, Canton, in lieu of $1,000 bail or $2,000 bond.
