HELENA – State police arrested a Massena man March 27 at 5:40 p.m. on several charges after troopers say they found him in the roadway of county Route 55 near Nevin Road hitting passing vehicles and screaming.
Troopers said they advised David N. Lantry, 46, to cease his actions, but he refused, yelling obscenities at them. Troopers say they then attempted to take Lantry into custody and he spit at them and actively resisted arrest.
Once in custody, he was found to possess a smoking device containing marijuana, said state police.
He was charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, second-degree harassment and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Lantry was arraigned in Stockholm town court and remanded to the St. Lawrence County Jail in lieu of $750 cash or $1,500 bond bail.
He is scheduled to appear in Brasher town court April 4 at 6 p.m.
