A Saturday snowmobile accident in Franklin County left a Massena man with serious injuries.
Kenneth R. Maneeley was operating a 2011 Polaris snowmobile heading eastbound on the seasonal Thatcherville Road in the Town of Franklin, troopers said.
Maneeley lost control of his sled and veered off the groomed portion of the road. The snowmobile stopped abruptly, ejecting Maneeley, who then struck an embankment, troopers said.
Maneely was to Champlain Valley Physician’s Hospital in Plattsburgh and later moved to University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, Vt., troopers said.
Maneeley is listed in critical but stable condition with spine and head injuries, according to troopers.
