LOUISVILLE -- A Massena man was jailed Tuesday on multiple felonies stemming from two sexual offense investigations, according to state police.
The arrest stems from an incident which occurred in Norfolk in June 2010. Laporte allegedly had sexual intercourse with a female less than 13 years old, when he was 18.
He was also charged with first-degree sexual abuse: contact with a child less than 11 years old, felony, and an additional count of child endangerment. Those charges were related to a parallel investigation in which Laporte had sexual contact with a child less than 11 years old, troopers said.
Laport was arraigned in Norfolk Town Court by Justice George Grubee and remanded to the St. Lawrence County jail, Canton on $1,500 bail or $2,500 bond, troopers said.
He is to appear in Norfolk court May 20 to answer the charges.
